In county Louth we have always had a special place in our hearts for St.Brigid, and all through the centuries from pre Christian era to the coming of Christianity, this affinity has prevailed. Families, schools and communities across the county, country and beyond, hold on to and practice many of the customs and traditions that generations of our ancestors did before us.
